Distribution

At once shot in winter in mountains on Ugam valley. Visual observations in Aksu-Dzhabagly Reserve in July and January (1948, 1956) not confirmed by collection skins, but 25 March 1995 one bird obtained in Dzhabagly village. In upper current of Pskem river observed 31 August 2002.

Biology

Very rare vagrant. Inhabits juniper forest at altitudes 1500-2000 m, on dispersal visits the deciduous forests. There are no data on this species from the territory of Kazakhstan.
