Distribution

On migration occurs on plains of Kazakhstan, regularly observed on Markakol lake. In highlands of Zailiyskiy Alatau ridge (Bolshoye Almatinskoye lake) recorded in August 4 1972, August 7-22 1975 and in August 5 1976. Though birds recorded in Northern Kazakhstan in summer regularly, only B.K.Stegman in 1932 near Borovoye for a long time observed the pair of Green Sandpipers on the marsh where he saw also the brood some later. Probable nesting in forests of Northern Kazakhstan and Altai has not been proven to date.
