Very late and the only one known winter record of Demoiselle Cranes. Usually the autumn migration of Demoiselle Cranes occurs from late August to early September. The latest records on the Chokpak Pass refer to the end of October.

Recent years (2013,2015) some vagrant juvenile Flamingos were found in Siberia, Russia and Xinjiang far from breeding sites mostly in later October. In October 27th, 2016 wounded and exhausted juvenile Flamingo was found in the riverside of Irtysh near Serebryansk city.

During the first half of September 2016 the officers of Kurgaldzhino reserve and ASBK recorded about 20000 White-headed Ducks on the lakes of Kurgaldzhino lakes, including 8000 ducks in Esei lake and 9300 ducks in Saumalkol lake at September 15-16.

Rare probably first record of Oriental Turtle Dove in European territory at breeding time. The closest breeding sites in Kazakhstan are in Kustanai oblast (780 km). Probably there are closer breeding sites in Southern Ural in Russian Federation.

Recorded June 14, 2016 by finnish birdwatcher Ilkka Sahi in Victory park, Atyrau. June 25, 2016 Feodor Sarayev observed two birds in the same place. August 12, 1987 recorded in Beineu (440 km from Atyrau) Closest breeding areas are in Syrdaria river and Bukhara oazis (1100 km).

Couple of Black-eared Wheatears were observed during 5 days on territory of das station near Inderborsk (Atyrau oblast). The northernmost record of the Black-eared Wheatear (170 km north of Atyrau, where it was observed June 26, 2009, June 10 2013, by Victoria Kovshar).

That was the second vagrant into the Kazakh part of the Western Tiаn Shan. The first bird was in Aksu Dzhabagly on December 15, 1996 (Kolbintsev, 1999). The nearest breeding range for Coal Tit P.a rufipectus are in spruce forests on the Chatkalskyi Range (Sary Chilek Reserve in Kyrgyzstan), 130 km to the southeast of the place of this record.

The second winter record of The Grey Wagtail. The first one was on January 6th,1986 (Korelov, Gubin, Levin, 1988). The Grey Wagtails start to migrate in September. The latest migrants were observed until the middle of October.

The first photography of the bird of this subspecies and the fourth record in Kazakhstan. Since the previous records more than one hundred years have passed. No breeding records in the Kazakhstan part of Altai. The nearest breeding spots there are in the North Chu Ridge on Russian territory, in 150 km to the north-east of the place of this record. Once catched in the winter in the area of Katon-Karagai. Apparently this subspecies was described in 1904 by this specimen. The nesting of this taxon was supposed in Saur, where it was recorded in summertime of 1904 by P.P Sushkin and in 1907 by V.A.Khakhlov (Dementiev, 1937, Kovshar, 1974, Gavrilov, 1999). No new records reported up to the present time (Starikov, 2006).

The previous records: on February 10, 1978 in the area of Berel village (B.V Shcherbakov), in February 2006 at Beloye village (SV Starikov), in November 25, 2015 in Katon-Karagai (V. Vorobiev, www.birds.kz). There were also two records during the autumn dispersing in the Bukhtarma Valley on September 14, 2002 (Starikov, Prokopov, 2006) and on October 6, 2007 at the Burkhat Pass (Starikov, 2008)
