At males the tail feathers are black with a bit dispersal of white color on the base (sometimes white color is almost absent and in this case tail feathers are wholly black with some lightening on base only). Upper tail coverts are white (with the buffy tips in fresh plumage). The least dispersal of the white color on tail feathers (sometimes complete disappearance) is peculiar to the birds of Central Asia.
